TL;DR

The short version: AI agents for B2B sales do four jobs: prospecting, lead qualification, call notes and pipeline follow-up. Salesforce Hunter is in pilot, with general availability planned for November 2026. Pick one job, test data coverage in your own countries and keep a person approving what goes out.

The fall of 2026 brought a new wave of AI agents for B2B sales. Salesforce announced Hunter. HubSpot and Microsoft already have agents that prospect and qualify leads. For a sales team in Latin America, the hard part is not finding an agent. It is choosing one that fits your data, your CRM and your process.

What are AI agents for B2B sales?

An AI sales agent is a program that takes a goal and runs several steps to reach it. It researches accounts, finds contacts, drafts emails, summarizes calls or updates your CRM. Unlike an assistant, it does not wait for every instruction. Most still ask a person to approve the steps that need judgment.

The practical difference is who presses send. An assistant suggests one email and you decide. An agent can prepare a hundred, send them and follow up, if you let it. So the real question is not how smart the agent is. It is what you allow it to do alone.

If you are still deciding between hiring people and deploying an agent, start with our post on why hiring SDRs is not over (in Spanish).

Which types of AI sales agents exist today?

Most AI agents for B2B sales fall into four jobs: prospecting, lead qualification, call notes and CRM follow-up. Prospecting agents find accounts and draft outreach. Qualification agents work inbound leads. Note takers summarize meetings. Follow-up agents keep deals moving. Pick by the job you need done, not by brand.

Four jobs, four kinds of agent

Job What it does Example from the vendor
Prospecting Finds accounts and contacts, drafts personal outreach HubSpot prospecting agent
Lead qualification Researches inbound leads, engages them and hands over the good ones Microsoft Sales Qualification Agent
Call notes Summarizes meetings and shares key points Zoom Meeting Summary
Pipeline follow-up Works deals over weeks, from outreach to forecast Salesforce Hunter (pilot)
Four isometric workshop rooms with robots researching with a telescope, writing letters, taking video call notes and filing CRM records, joined at a human approval gate
Each agent does one job. A person approves what leaves the building.

What is Salesforce Hunter and when can you use it?

Hunter is an outbound sales agent for Salesforce Sales Cloud. Salesforce announced it on September 11, 2026, ahead of Dreamforce. It researches prospects, drafts and sends outreach and moves opportunities forward. As of October 30, 2026 it is in pilot. Salesforce says general availability is planned for November 2026.

Salesforce lists Hunter as "Pilot now; GA November '26" (Salesforce News). It is the first agent on a new long-horizon runtime, built to pursue a goal over days or weeks and to ask for seller approval based on guardrails you define. The product page describes research, outreach, pipeline reviews and forecasting (Salesforce).

Check before you plan

No public price or country list for Hunter was available when we checked. Treat November as a target date, ask your Salesforce account team in writing and plan with what is available today.

How much autonomy should you give an AI agent?

Start with review mode. Let the agent research and draft, and have a person approve every message for the first weeks. Once quality is steady, open autonomy for low-risk steps only. HubSpot and Microsoft both offer this split: a supervised mode first and a more autonomous mode when you are ready.

HubSpot lets reps review and edit drafted emails before sending, and later switch to a fully autonomous mode (HubSpot). Microsoft's Sales Qualification Agent has a research-only mode and a research-and-engage mode that sends emails and hands promising leads to sellers (Microsoft Learn).

  1. Week one. Agent researches and drafts. A person approves everything.
  2. Weeks two to four. Compare agent drafts with your best rep. Fix prompts and rules.
  3. After that. Allow autonomous sending only for one segment with clear rules.
  4. Always. Keep a human on pricing, contracts and anything a client could misread.

Why does data coverage in Latin America matter?

A prospecting agent is only as good as the contact data behind it. Many providers cover the United States and Europe far better than Guatemala, Panama or Colombia. Before you buy, test the agent with fifty real accounts from your own market and count how many correct contacts it finds.

Quick test

Pick fifty accounts you already know well. Ask the agent to find the decision makers. Check each result by hand. If coverage is weak, the agent will write great emails to the wrong people.

How do you choose the right agent for your team?

Choose by the bottleneck, not by the demo. If reps spend hours researching, start with prospecting. If inbound leads wait for days, start with qualification. If notes never reach the CRM, start with call summaries. One agent on one clear job beats four agents nobody is watching.

Then check three things: whether it runs inside the CRM you already use, whether its data covers your countries and how it asks for approval. Zoom, for example, lets only the host start or stop Meeting Summary and sends the summary by email or chat (Zoom Support). Small rules like that decide adoption.

How do AI agents for B2B sales fit into your demand system?

AI agents for B2B sales speed up steps that already work. They do not fix a weak offer, a vague ideal customer profile or a broken handoff. Define who you sell to and which signals matter first. Then put an agent on the step where your team loses the most time.

Where an agent fits

  1. Clear ideal customer profile
  2. Buying signals
  3. Agent researches and drafts
  4. Person approves
  5. Seller runs the conversation
The agent works in the middle. People decide at both ends.

How we approach it at MAS

At MAS we start with the process, not the tool. We map where reps lose time, pick one job for an agent and set approval rules before launch. We review results with the sales team every week for the first month, then decide whether to widen its scope.

Thinking about an AI agent for your sales team? We can review your process and help you pick the first job for an agent. Calls in English or Spanish.

What do teams ask us about AI sales agents?

The most common questions are about replacing SDRs, working in Spanish, Hunter availability in Latin America and what to measure. Short answers are below. The common thread is simple: test with your own accounts and your own team before you trust any vendor number, including the ones in their case studies.

Will AI agents replace SDRs?

Not soon. They take over research and first drafts. People still handle judgment, relationships and complex conversations.

Do AI sales agents work in Spanish?

Many draft in Spanish. Check tone with native speakers in each country before you send at scale.

Is Salesforce Hunter available in Latin America?

Salesforce had not published a country list as of October 30, 2026. Ask your account team directly.

What should I measure first?

Meetings booked from agent outreach, reply quality and hours saved per rep. Compare against your best rep, not your average.

Where does the information in this article come from?

We used official pages from Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft and Zoom. We opened each source on October 30, 2026 to confirm what we cite. We did not use client cases, vendor prices or performance claims we could not verify. If a vendor changes its status or features, we update the article.
